Center Hastings has been operating without a municipal clerk for almost a year, but that situation is no more. Last night, Center Hastings Reeve, Tom Deline, announced the hiring of a new clerk. He is Matt McDonald…whose hometown is Belleville. Matt McDonald will start as clerk immediately. His most recent position was with the provincial government, but has worked for the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, and Prince Edward County as well.
Center Hastings former Clerk, Doug Parks, became seriously ill last June, and has been unable to return to work.
