Last week’s discovery of a fetus at Belleville’s Wastewater Treatment Plant was the result of a tragic medical event…and, city police say their investigation is over. Police responded to the sewage facility, last Thursday afternoon, following the discovery by staff. As a result the remains were sent to the Centre for Forensic Sciences in Toronto for an autopsy and it was determined this was the result of a mid trimester miscarriage. No further information will be released as to protect the privacy of the family involved in this incident.
