A ten time World Record Holder officially launched the Lung Association’s Pull for Kids campaign in Belleville. Reverend Kevin Fast of Cobourg can pull firetrucks faster and further than anyone else in the world…but, told yesterday’s media conference at Montana’s…it’s the community that’s going to help our local kids. Fast, who last year set a record for pulling the Canadian Forces largest aircraft…the Globemaster at CFB Trenton used a metaphor to describe the pull by saying the firetruck is asthma and the whole community is coming together to help these kids by taking the weight of asthma off their shoulders. 14-teams will try and pull the 13-tonne firetrucks across the finishline the fastest at the annual event in the Quinte Mall parking lot on May 15th. The Warkworth Prison guards are the two time defending champs. All proceeds go to help the one-in-four kids in our area dealing with asthma.
