A woman is upset her mother’s wishes to be an organ donor were declined when she died at the Belleville Hospital.
Sue Frost says her mother Dorothy Neal’s organs could have saved up to eight people’s lives waiting on the transplant list. Neal passed away on February 19th as a result of a brain aneurysm, but her organs weren’t retrieved because the Trillium Gift of Life Network had decided not to use them, after originally encouraging the donation.
Frost wrote to Health Minister Deb Matthews last month, but hasn’t received a reply.
