The new Quinte Healthcare President is tackling what was at times a communication vacuum between the QHC Board and Trenton Memorial Hospital. Quinte West Mayor John Williams stressed to Mary-Clare Egberts, who attended her first Quinte West-Brighton Healthcare Advisory Committee meeting yesterday, how important communication is between the Board and the Community. The Advisory Board was created nine years ago because of a lack of communication with Quinte Healthcare and TMH. and, Egberts says one of the biggest things to be dealt with is the transportation issue between hospitals. Egberts, who has worked at a number of Toronto-area hospitals, replaced retiring CEO Bruce Laughton earlier this month.
