Summer may seem a long way off, but Belleville’s Canada Day committee is already gearing up for the big day July first. Spokesman Greg Johnson told city Council last night the celebration completely covers Zwicks Park but there’ll be a few new things this year, including a new inflatable play area, an extended petting zoo and reptile show. Johnson told council the committee doesn’t need money, it has 18-thousand dollars in reserve, and is only asking for the usual assistance from the city’s recreation and police departments.
