The provincial government is giving a helping hand to children with disabilities and special needs in the Quinte area.
M-P-P Leona Dombrowsky says the Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre will get an additional 131-thousand dollars in funding over the next year. The investment is part of nine-million dollars a year to support 20 centres across Ontario.
The Quinte Children’s Treatment Centre is based at the Belleville Hospital, and serves five-hundred children each year.
