Highway 62 north of Bancroft has been reopened after being closed because of a washout.
The Ministry of Transportation shut down the highway, at Old Hastings Road yesterday morning after large amounts of water ran over the pavement, knocking out a few sections. The torrent is believed to have come from nearby deaver dams that broke. However, repair work was completed, and highway 62 was reopened to two lane traffic late last night.
