An inmate assault… and subsequent protest have made for some tense times at the Millhaven Institution.
Assistant Warden Wayne Buller says an inmate was assaulted in the gymnasium around 7:30 Thursday night.. and was taken to an outside hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
He remains in stable condition.
Meanwhile… back at the Bath Prison… inmates refused to return from the recreation yard… and were there for most of the night… negotiating with the O-P-P Pen Squad.
There have been no updated details on the situation… and Millhaven is operating on a modified routine.
Visitors are asked to call ahead of any trips to the facility.
