The wife of a former soldier at C-F-B Trenton has been found not guilty of trying to hire a hitman to kill him.
Thirty-nine-year-old Nicole Ryan was found not guilty in a Nova Scotia court of conspiring to hire someone to commit murder. Her husband, Mike Ryan, was portrayed as a man who pointed a gun at his wife more than once, and committed other forms of abuse since they married in 1992.
The Ryans were posted to Eight Wing 14 years ago, where the husband was described as treating his wife more like a servant than a spouse, before they moved to the Maritimes. Mike Ryan is now retired, and moved to Ontario this month with the couple’s ten year old daughter.
