Premier Dalton McGuinty will be in Quinte West Saturday, but it won’t be a happy occasion. The Premier will be attending the funeral of 77 year old Joan Wilkinson, the wife of Wilf Wilkinson, local businessman, and the former president of Rotary International. Joan Wilkinson died at Trenton Hospital Monday. Two of the Wilkinson’s sons are prominent in the Ontario Liberal party, as John is the finance minister, while Peter is McGuinty’s Chief of Staff. Joan Wilkinson is resting at the Rushnell Funeral Center in Trenton. The funeral service is at 11 Saturday morning at St. Peter’s Church.
