The Loyalist Humane Society may get another 23-hundred dollars funding from Prince Edward County Council.
The Committee of the Whole voted yesterday to hike the amount the society will receive in community grants from 12-hundred to 35-hundred dollars. The money will be used to pay for the cost of getting rid of litter from the animal shelter. Council will make a final decision on April 13th. Council is also expected to vote at its budget meeting next Tuesday on a recommendation to transfer five-thousand dollars for the Friends of Wellers Bay for channel dredging from community grants to the Recreation, Parks and Culture Department Budget.
