A new police and fire station for Stirling Rawdon is inching toward becoming a reality.
Tenders for the construction of the facility have been opened. The lowest came from Peake Engineering of Brighton, at 2.4 million dollars.
The other bidders were Delram Construction, Task Force Engineering, and Geertsma Construction. The high bid was just over 3 million dollars for a combined fire/police station.
Engineers are looking over the bids and will make a recommendation to Stirling Rawdon Council next month.
