Property taxes in Marmora and Lake Township could increase by one-and-a-half per cent this year.
Council’s draft budget also includes flat water rate increases of 4.2 per cent, and flat sewer rate hikes of 6.2 per cent. Rural garbage pickup rates will remain the same, and policing costs are unchanged at about 660-thousand dollars..
The public will have a chance to have its say on April 6th, and council will consider the input during its budget deliberations the next three days, with final approval on May fourth.
