Reports of another possible shooting and major police investigation this morning in the Quinte Region. Our newsroom has learned there was a shooting at a Town Hall south of Napanee in the Fredericksburg area at 9:30 last night. It’s believed one person may have been shot and OPP reportedly took a suspect into custody at 10 o’clock last night. Callers to our newsroom report a large OPP presense outside the hall…..but, police so far haven’t released any information about the incident. The East Region OPP Communication Centre will only say they are currently searching for a media officer to issue a press release. Calls to the Napanee Detachment have so far gone unanswered.
