A pre-trial hearing for retired Olympic boxer Shawn O’Sullivan will continue later this month in Belleville court. The 47-year old Belleville resident is charged with mischief and assault in connection with an incident off Coleman Street in late November. O’Sullivan claims he was attempting to retrieve his stolen championship boxing rings when the confrontation occured. His pre-trial began yesterday at the Victoria Avenue courthouse but will resume on March 31st. O’Sullivan has also claimed he was tasered and assaulted by police who responded to 9-1-1 calls.
