Greater Napanee town council has approved a staff recommendation to create a special community-based committee to develop a plan to revitalize the commercial and residential core.
The municipality recently received 150-thousand dollars from the provincial agriculture ministry for the project, and the committee will work with students from Loyalist College on revitalization efforts. A matching 150-thousand will come from Greater Napanee, as well as through community partners and fundraising. There will be no impact on the town’s budget over the three-year term of the program.
