A large number of young people in the care of the Hastings Children’s Aid Society is heading off to college, or university. Final figures are not available, but it’s believed over 30 students will move on to post secondary education. Hastings CAS Executive Director, Len Kennedy, says that’s more then last year, and a figure the Society should be proud of. Hastings CAS has a higher proportion of it’s young people in care going on to post secondary studies then most other Society’s in the province.
