A close call for a man who went through the ice of Lake Ontario south of Waupoos.
Prince Edward O-P-P answered a 9-1-1 call at four o’clock yesterday afternoon about an A-T-V breaking through the ice between the mainland and Waupoos Island.
The driver was wearing a survival suit, pulled himself out of the water, and was helped to shore by another man. He wasn’t injured, but was treated by paramedics. A Trenton man died last week when he fell through the ice of the Bay of Quinte while walking a dog of of Massassauga Point.
