The President of Baymount Incorporated says “for sale” signs on their property do not include the land needed for the home of the proposed “racino” for Belleville. President Graham Simmonds says there’s about 55 acres of land for sale on the property adjacent to the site of the new slot parlour and harness racing track on Bell Boulevard. Simmonds says the company planning to build a hotel and waterpark has also done a study on the Belleville market and doesn’t require as much property to build on the site. Simmonds says the sale of the excess land, which is listed with CDP Real Estate, will allow the company to eliminate some debt and move ahead with the planned racetrack-slots project. He says the land for sale includes multiple lots and has 4-0-1 frontage as well as Bell Boulevard and Enterprise Drive. Simmonds says they are continuing to prepare for the construction of the racino and the sale doesn’t include any of the core land needed for the project.
