A Colborne man has been given a lifetime ban on owning any cats for abusing several animals at his home.
Stacey Hnrcir was sentenced under the Ontario S-P-C-A Act yesterday after being convicted of one count of animal cruelty.
Ontario S-P-C-A official Allison Cross says investigators found a dead cat and a dead lizard in the house last August, as well as five emaciated and dehyrdated cats, one of which had to be euthanized by a veterinarian.. Hnrcir was also fined one-thousand dollars, and must pay restitution to the Port Hope Humane Society of just over one-thousand dollars.
