The two sides in the dispute over the future of a business on the Tyendinaga Territory will be back in court next week.
The lawyer for the Mohawk Band Council, Roger Horst, says the matter was put over to March eleventh when council and Mohawk Liquidation representatives appeared in Belleville court last Friday.
He says there will be a full argument of the motion at that time, and the business was also ordered by the judge to pay the council ten-thousand dollars by March tenth because it is operating on council-owned land.
The dispute began two years ago after council asked the land, which was sold to the Mohawk liquidation owner by two men who didn’t own the property, be returned.
