No promises, but Quinte West politicians appear positive after a meeting with the new Energy and Infrastructure Minister.
Jim Harrison and other councillors met with Brad Duguid at a Rural Municipalities conference in Toronto yesterday.
Harrison says the city asked the Minister for funding for a new marina, biosolids handling, paving projects, and bridge construction and repairs. The Quinte West delegation also told Duguid there needs to be a regular funding program, so municipalities don’t have to compete with each other every year for infrastructure cash.
