The Southeast Local Heath Integration Network, which handles the funding for hospitals and other health care providers in this part of the province, has approved the budget for the new Community Health Center in Belleville and the Quinte West satellite. The budget passed is just over 4.9 million dollars for a fully operational Community Health Center. It’s hoped the center will begin a partial service by this summer. When fully operational, there will be the equivalent of 21 people working full time at the facility.
