The officer ordered to monitor the court case of Colonel Russell Williams, on behalf of the military, says he was “shocked” when he heard Williams was charged with the murder of Marie-France Comeau and Jessica Lloyd, and two sexual assaults.
Lieutenant Colonel Tony OKeefe, of the Royal Military College in Kingston, a long-time friend, says he has known and worked with Williams over nine years. O’keefe says Williams is an intellect, a professional, a friend. He says Williams wife is “holding up well” in Ottawa. O’keefe also had the job of speaking to Williams at the Quinte Detention Centre to officially relieve him of command at CFB Trenton.
Lawyer Victoria Creighton appeared in court on behalf of William’s high-profile Ottawa lawyer Michael Edelson, agreeing to a March 25 court date.
