Personnel at C-F-B Trenton won’t have to wait long to start a new era… and move forward at 8-wing.
Chief of the Air Staff Lieutenant-General Andre Deschamps announced yesterday… Lieutenant-Colonel Dave Cochrane will be promoted to Colonel and assume control of 8-Wing.
Chochrane has spent a number of years at C-F-B Trenton… as a navigator with 4-3-6 Squadron in missions during the Gulf War… as well as the Kurdish Air Drop re-supply, and Sarajevo.
In 1997 Cochrane was a Navigation Instructor on the C-130 Hercules… then took command of 4-3-6 in 2006.
Colonel Cochrane takes over from Lieutenant-Colonel David Murphy, who was designated acting wing commander on February 8, 2010 following the arrest of Colonel Russell Williams… who has been accused of several serious crimes committed in the local area.
