Another scam is making the rounds in Quinte. Over the past week, Quinte West OPP have received complaints regarding a cellphone scam. Local residents have been contacted by someone claiming to be with a major telephone company and offering a free phone or a spcial rate on service. The callers requests banking information and social insurance numbers. OPP remind you to never give out that information over the phone or via email.
