A close call involving two men on the ice of Rice Lake, south of Peterborough..
The O-P-P say 55-year-old Brian Skinkle of Hastings and 32-year-old Mike Boulerice of Warkworth were on an A-T-V, towing an ice hut, when it went into the water and to the bottom of the lake on Saturday afternoon. They were in the water for about two minutes before they were able to pull themselves clear. Firefighters rescued the men, and they were taken to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of exposure and minor injuries, and then were released.
