Quinte West O-P-P have found more than a seatbelt problem in a vehicle stopped at a RIDE check just west of Trenton. Officers pulled over 150 vehicles last evening on Telephone Road, and three drivers were charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act. Police also issued five warnings for equipment and documentation related offences under the Act. One officer, while checking on a vehicle for a seatbelt violation, noticed the odour of marijuana. As a result of further investigation, about 30 grams of marijuana was made seized from a Trenton man. He was released at the scene with a court date of February 25th.
