The Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board is doing it’s part to help those affected by the Haiti Earthquake.
School Liaison Judy Malfara says…as of yesterday… the Board’s schools and departments have raised over 56 thousand dollars to help the people of Haiti.
Some schools have completed their fund raising efforts… while many elementary and secondary students and staff will be continuing to participate in fund raising events.
The schools have decided to allocate the funds raised to various organizations including the Canadian Red Cross, Unicef, Free the Children, and Doctors Without Borders.
