It isn’t looking likely the union representing teachers at Loyalist and other Ontario Community Colleges will hold a vote on the colleges’ latest contract offer. College management told OPSEU on Wednesday the proposed three year deal was the final offer it would make. The union local president at Loyalist, Bernie Belanger, says the offer isn’t much different than the one rejected in a strike vote on January 13th. Belanger says OPSEU wants college management to return to the table, or the union will set a strike date.
