The Belleville Police Service will be sending six officers to assist with the safety and security at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympics Games. The members of the service were canvassed and more than 20 officers were interested in being seconded to the RCMP. Six members were selected…Constables Dan Hoxford, Dave Walsh, Pat Kellar, Ron Kanyo and Terri Smith and Staff Sergeant Marlene Gray. They have been assigned to six different venues; BC Place, Richmond Oval, Cypress Mountain, Whistler Creekside, Olympic Family Hotel and the Vancouver Olympic Centre. They will be part of the 12,000 Police and Military personnel deployed to the Vancouver Olympics.
