Belleville councillors sit down to go over the capital budget for 2010 this week. City Council has scheduled two days for deliberating the capital projects to be undertaken this year. Last year’s projects were in the neighbourhood of 43-million dollars, not counting the various works undertaken later in the year under the federal stimulus package. Those include the 35-million dollar Multiplex at the Quinte Sports Centre. Deliberations begin tomorrow morning at city hall. The capital projects are determined early in the year to take advantage of early-tendering dates to get the work done.
