The victim of a small plane crash near Bannockburn, has been identified as Andrew Phillips, a 43-year-old married father of two. His self-assembled kit plane went down in heavy brush north of Madoc, and a search and rescue crew from CFB Trenton found the plane on Saturday night. Phillips and two friends had flown from the Smiths Falls area to Lindsay and were on the return trip when the crash occurred. Transportation Safety Board investigators arrived at the crash scene yesterday morning. The cause hasn’t been determined.
