The sandbagging has begun on North Street in Stirling, where heavy rain has caused too much water. Public Works Manager Perry Blackburn says the work started early this morning after water got inside the front door at the L-C-B-O store and two motorists, who were later rescued, got stuck in deep water. He says the flood waters are still threatening a nearby home, and the water is rising so quickly they can’t keep up.
