Police are on the hunt for a suspect after a confrontation with an attempted burglar at a Belleville home.
City police were called to the home on Christian School Rd. in Belleville’s north end at 6:39 last night (SAT) by a homeowner who said there was a break and enter in progress.
Police say the man was visiting neighbours when he heard his dog barking.
The victim returned home to find the assailant kicking at a door trying to get in.
The victim chased the attempted robber away and then called police.
Police used the canine unit to search the area but were unable to find a suspect.
