A Belleville man found a man rummaging around in his basement when he returned home yesterday morning. The suspect fled from the Palmer Road home and was last seen running west toward Sir James Whitney School. The Canine Unit searched for two hours but the suspect wasn’t found. He’s described as thin with some gray in his hair, a gaunt face, wearing a black bomber jacket with white writing on the back, a toque and blue jeans. Nothing was taken from the home and this incident is still under investigation.
