The future home of Belleville’s Police and firefighters will be one of the main topics, this morning, as strategic planning sessions continue in Corbyville. Members of council and staff met yesterday to prioritize the city’s future needs. Mayor Neil Ellis says a new fire hall is scheduled for 2011 and a new police building is on the agenda for 2013. Ellis says much of the discussion yesterday involved what order various roads in the city will be upgraded this year. The list includes Palmer Road, Harder Drive and Chatham, Mary, Willard and Purdy Streets.
