Students and staff at Loyalist College are hopeful that next week produce a deal. The colleges and OPSEU negotiators have recessed after three days of bargaining. The two sides resumed meeting on Tuesday and will meet again next Tuesday in Toronto. A union source says the talks have NOT been fruitful and says they expect to set a strike date in the near future. Union members voted 57 per cent in favour of job action last week. Faculty at Loyalist voted 72 per cent in favour of walking off the job.
