The United Way of Quinte’s Online Product Sale was so popular it might already be over.
The sale started last Wednesday, but it had to be shut down because of the overwhelming response. There were seven-hundred orders in the first three hours, and Executive Director Julia Gosson says anyone who placed an order that afternoon will be told soon if there is enough inventory left.
The United Way, which had raised one-and-a-half-million dollars as of late last week, is now concentrating on Thursday’s achievement celebration, but may be able to resume the online sale next week, but only if there are enough products.
