A group of unionized workers with Hastings County have accepted a new contract.
OPSEU Local 4-96 President Dianne Dejong says 91 per cent of the 120 union members who voted in Belleville yesterday were in favour of the deal.
County Council is expected to ratify the agreement when it meets on January 28th. No details about the contract, which will cover 180 workers, will be released until after then.
The previous contract for the workers, mostly in the Social Services Department, expired at the end of 2008.
