Ice fishing is so popular in Quinte that fishing gear is being stolen.
Belleville City Police arrested and charged two men with theft from an ice hut on the Bay of Quinte. The owner of the hut went out to fish on Wednesday night and found two people trying to take off with his gear.. A 39 year old Cannifton man and a 52 year old Belleville man were released with a court date in February.
