You won’t even have to leave the comfort of your chair to cast your vote for members of Prince Edward County Council this October. County Council’s Committee of the Whole voted yesterday to offer 2 ways to vote in the local election…..the standard paper ballot at a polling station……or by using your computer and the internet.
Voting by internet will add about 35 thousand dollars to the cost of the election in Prince Edward County, to a total of 150 thousand dollars. Most on Council believe the internet option will cause more young people to vote, and lead to more part time residents of the County to exercise their franchise.
