The President of Loyalist College is working to keep staff and students informed as a strike by full time faculty looms in the next few weeks. Maureen Piercy says NOT having a strike is job # 1, but contingency plans are being drawn up to make it possible for students to complete their semester. Meanwhile, Loyalist’s Board of Governors learned that they are on track for a balanced budget this year, but will have to come up with ways to deal with infrastructure maintenance, which could total 30 million dollars over the next few years.
