There is now a race for Mayor in Prince Edward County.
South Marysburgh councillor Monica Alyea filed her nomination papers yesterday.
She joins Ameliasburgh councillor Sandy Latchford, who put in her election documents during the first week of January to replace Leo Finnegan when his term expires this October. Finnegan will not seek re-election.
