The Gleaners Food Bank in Belleville has gone the extra mile to accomodate people needing help over the Christmas holidays.
Operations Director Suzanne Quinlan says 40 hampers have been given to the police department to distribute to families in need, and Nancy Smith at Ontario Works in Belleville will also help people who need a hamper..
The Gleaners will shut down tomorrow afternoon, and will reopen on January fourth.
It has been busy, with 892 new families visiting the facility so far this year.
