The chair of the Belleville Police Services Board says a review is underway following recent bomb scares at the Wal-Mart store in the city. Councillor Bob Dolan was commenting on a Toronto Sun article by Mark Bonokoski criticizing local police for not showing up at the first of two recent bomb scares at the store, and allowing store employees to do the bomb search in both cases. Dolan says says “a review of policy and procedures will be held in the new year. ” Bonokoski says the Emergency Task Force should have taken control of the bomb scare situation. Earlier this year Bonokski had criticized Belleville police for what he called a “non-response to two 9-1-1 calls” when his daughter was swarmed and beaten in the city a couple of years ago.
