The preliminary site work continues on the grounds of the Quinte Consolidated Courthouse in Belleville. Ontario Realty Corporation spokesperson Melissa Mandolidis says the work includes environmental and archeological projects. The environmental cleanup includes the former gas station property at the north end of the Bridge and Coleman streets lot. That cleanup and the archeological study should be complete in the spring. Mandolidis says another ground study will begin in January to determine what if anything is in the ground that needs to be cleaned up.
