The man charged with fixing the money troubles at Quinte Healthcare isn’t coming cheap. A report in today’s Intell says provincially appointed Supervisor Graham Scott could potentially cost more than half-a-million dollars this year. All this while, continuing to pay the CAO more than a quarter million dollars. Scott was brought in to wipe out a 2-year estimated deficit of 15-million dollars at the Belleville, Trenton, Picton and Bancroft hospitals. Scott says he “can understand’ how people would see the compensation as exorbitant…but, it’s the same price that was paid for fixing the problems at Sudbury and Kingston hospitals earlier this decade.
