There’s talk of a funding freeze for Ontario Hospitals as the provincial government deals with a MASSIVE budget deficit. Many are now worried about cuts to healthcare services. However, the Supervisor of Quinte Healthcare Corporation, Graham Scott, is not one of them. Scott is working on QHC’s financial recovery plan, and says he’s always worked on the assumption that there will be no funding increase next year. Scott says the many efficiencies taken with operations and staffing recently has worked to make media reports of a 15 million dollar deficit at QHC way overblown. Without providing details.
